Federal Advocacy DNA primarily works at the state level to advance nursing and healthcare policy. However, we also have strong relationships with our federal delegation (Senator Chris Coons, Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester, Representative Sarah McBride) and advocate for federal policies that advance nursing and healthcare policy. This advocacy includes both legislative and regulatory advocacy. ICAN - Improving Care & Access to Nurses Act Modernizes and removes barriers to care and services provided by Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (CNP, CNM, CRNA, CNS). The American Nurses Association (ANA) works with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American College of Nurse Midwives, American Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists, and National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists to bring forward this legislation. We continue to advocate for its' passage and for our federal delegates to co-sponsor the legislation. |
