Our goal is to move nursing forward for our members  by educating and providing Delaware leaders with credible research, informed solutions, and facts. We work to find options to address today's healthcare challenges and to bring positive change to the health of Delawareans by advancing our mission.


To improve the healthcare in Delaware by the advancement of nursing.


To shape the future of healthcare and promote innovations in nursing by:

Advocating for:

    • the improvement of health standards and the availability of healthcare for the people of Delaware;
    • safe, efficient, and excellent patient and client care; 
    • the economic and general welfare and safety of nurses; and
    • the human rights related to healthcare.

Promoting excellence in nursing by fostering:

    • nursing innovation;
    • nursing research;
    • nursing education;
    • the professional development of Delaware nurses;
    • adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses; and
    • leadership in Delaware nursing.

Advancing our mission by:

    • influencing the legislative and executive branches of government;
    • affiliating with compatible organizations;
    • providing public education and speaking to advance nursing and the provision of health care; and
    • maintaining meaningful and relevant communication with the membership and affiliated organizations through official publications.
