Standing and Special Committees

The association addresses its various functions through a system of standing and special committees to achieve our mission, promote diversity and broad-based member involvement, and ownership over nursing practice. The following are the standing committees, Advocacy, Professional Development, Nominations, and Editorial Advisory. Special committees occur as needed and include topics like recognition and more. We encourage all members to bring their experience, specialty practice, and leadership to the association's committees. Reach out ( or 302-733-5880) to get involved with our committees.

It is the responsibility of the Nominations Committee to recognize and seek qualified nominees for the elected leadership of DNA. The members of the Committee, therefore, have tremendous influence on the future of the association and should themselves be carefully selected. The Nominating Committee members need a knowledge and experience of the concerns and interests of the DNA membership and are accountable for adherence to the Bylaws and for compliance with the rules and procedures established by these policies.
